An intellectual exploration of the importance of consent in human relationships.

Consent is the defining element separating sexual intercourse and rape or alternative relationships and domestic abuse. Add in "consensual non-consenting" relationship dynamics, where consent may seem like a grey area to an outside observer, and you have a very complex subject. Jim will delve into this topic with you, sharing the primary thoughts behind the National Coalition For Sexual Freedom's program, Consent Counts.

We will talk over definitions of consent and contrast many of them. This will not be about a "one true way" but rather give each attendee the tools to consciously enter into and navigate their own relationships, defining their boundaries as they see fit. We will also talk about what to do when consent breaks down and how to survive that transition and repair things when it does. Come prepared to participate in verbal exercises and group discussion.

This class is a suggested prerequisite for those interested in the Erotic Conditioning workshop scheduled the same day at 8pm.

When: 5pm-6:30pm
Cost: $20, advance prices: $15 for Individuals, $25 for Couples, $35 for Triads
(No other CSPC discounts or AYCE cards applicable.)
