The Henry presents HITS of Sunshine, an evening of percussion, fashion, and film that will bring some light to the dark days of winter.
The Henry presents HITS of Sunshine, an evening of percussion, fashion, and film that will bring some light to the dark days of winter. HITS, a multimedia collaboration formed last fall in the deserts of Joshua Tree, California, will perform their percussive-focused music alongside fashion designed by Heather Treadway. The Henry has also invited local filmmakers to present work that plays on these themes of rhythm and sunshine.
Join us before the performance from 6-7pm for a special reception featuring luminary libations and refreshments hosted by SHAG, the Student Henry Advisory Group.
HITS, based in Portland, Oregon, is comprised of Allan Wilson, who also performs with the dance-punk band chk chk chk and deejays around the world, and Lisa Schonberg, who writes, teaches drums, and studies insects. Multi-instrumentalist Heather Treadway (Explode into Colors) hand-sews her eponymous fashion line and runs a dance troupe in Portland.
