Using physical experiences to understand emotional landscapes.

Knowing something in our heads often isn't a complete understanding. Knowing something "in your gut" often gives a deeper understanding. Using physical activities, this class explores the various polyamourous relationship configurations and inspires understanding, empathy and compersion for your partners. Techniques adapted from Tai Chi, Contact Dance and Systems based Psychology will give you the opportunity to learn more about your unique relationship dynamic. This class is designed for singles, partners, and all flavors of families.

***Limited to 30 Participants***
A light lunch and refreshments are included.

Attending with your current partners is encouraged and not necessary to benefit from this workshop. Please come prepared to participate in movement and touch based techniques and a discussions about your experiences. (This is a fully accessible class.)

When: 12PM to 3PM
Cost at the door: $40/Individual, $75/Couples, or $35 per person in groups of 3 or more.

About the Educators:

Kristen Knapick, MA, LMHC, is a mental health counselor associate in private practice in Seattle. She specializes in working with those for whom kink/poly/sex work/queerness/gender variance are a part of life, whether the source of a problem or not. Her lengthy experience as a member of all of these communities gives her a unique, non-judgmental perspective on mental health within them, and her professional training has sharpened her skills. Sophia Sky was raised by wolves. Once she was socialized, she became a massage therapist and then taught anatomy for 6 years at a Seattle based, nationally accredited school. She has put her anatomy knowledge to good use figuring out how to be mean to someone in the most beneficial way. Sophia is a switch who enjoys dynamic scenes that push the edges of conventional play and her body’s capabilities. She is the former director of the Little Red Studio and current Visual Art Director for the Seattle Erotic Art Festival. She performs regularly in and around Seattle, WA, taking great joy in combining her love of the aerial arts and her fetishes.

Jim Duvall began his career as an erotic photographer in the early days of the World Wide Web when he started janesguide.com with his former partner. He provided content for many online endeavors including bondage.com. His art has been shown at the Seattle Erotic Art Festival and many other art festivals around North America. He helped start The Betty Pages, an LGBT magazine, and was a writer and photographer for the magazine for 5 years.

As a sexuality activist Mr. Duvall has volunteered for many organizations over the years. He is a founder of the Center for Sex Positive Culture (CSPC) and the Seattle Erotic Art Festival. He is a past President and Board member of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and CSPC and the current President of the Board for the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture. Jim Duvall teaches on a variety of topics from erotic photography to rope bondage all over North America. Currently he works as a fine art photographer and practices hypnotherapy in Seattle WA.
