A workshop presented by the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture Legal Options for Non-Traditional Relationships
Attorney Benjamin Premack of The Premack Law Office, PLLC, will lead a workshop on how people in non-traditional polyamorous or non-monogamous relationships can enjoy many of the same legal powers and rights as married couples. He will discuss a variety of matters including issues of inheritance, guardianship, health care, children, finances, and planning in the event of an end to the relationship. Mr. Premack will also address how these protections and rights can be shared between poly couples, triads, and moresomes even when some of the people in the relationship are married.
When: 7PM to 9PM
Cost at the door: $25.
Advance: $20- Individuals, $35- Couples and $50- Triads.
The workshop will last for two hours with plenty of time for questions and answers. After the workshop Mr. Premack is offering a free 15 minute consultation to each attendee.
About the Educator:
Benjamin Premack of The Premack Law Office, PLLC, was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 2013. Mr. Premack is an experienced transactional attorney whose practice focuses largely on offering legal services to entrepreneurs and growing businesses in emerging economic sectors. In addition to his commercial practice, Mr. Premack advises clients on legal planning for people in non-monogamous relationships which he became knowledgeable about from assisting his father, Certified Elder Law Attorney Paul Premack, with his estate planning and probate law practice in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Premack has worked extensively with community organizations to offer pro-bono legal services to the economically disadvantaged. He is an active member of Washington Attorneys Assisting Community Organizations and a volunteer attorney at the Unemployment Law Project.
