To celebrate NAAM’s exhibit opening of Afros: A Celebration of Natural Hair,  Afropunk.com, NAAM and Good Hair Salon presents Afropunk Bash at NAAM. Bringing you a little taste of Brooklyn to Seattle for one night of big hair, music, fashion, and dancing in the Northwest’s premier African American Museum. The photographer Michael July was inspired by a couple wearing afros at an Afropunk party.  He then created a series of photos to pay homage to the beautiful yet subversive hair style worn by people of virtually every shade, ethnicity, country and age group. Be part of the celebration and enjoy the exhibit, swag bags, raffle, food trucks and the AfroTastic Catwalk presented by Good Hair Salon.
