Triggering Town Review

This event has passed.

The Triggering Town Review is a pleasant midsummer entertainment | a Big Show | a collaborative, living poem | a theatrical and musical extravaganza | a variety show | a conceptual art-type event hosted by poet Ed Skoog and Sam Watts (of the band Ghosts I've Met), and written and performed by a cast of Seattle's best writers, musicians, actors, architects, and other art weirdoes. The cabaret bar will be available before the show, at intermission, and afterwards.

Musical guests include Kevin Murphy and Jon Pontrello of The Moondoggies, and Ghosts I've Met.

While the show has no announced theme, the lyric nature of the collaboration will weave together various strands, and make memorable associations pleasing to the highbrow aesthete and lowbrow stumblebum. Please note that although the show takes its name from the Richard Hugo essay "The Triggering Town," the performance has little to no Richard Hugo content.

The physical program, handed out at the door, will also be called The Triggering Town Review, and will include much of the original writing for the show, along with ephemera from the process, including the maps created for the projections.
