Sun, Aug 17, 2014 at 8pm

This event has passed.
The fifth installment of Elevator shifts its focus toward rhythm, bringing together artists that walk the line of ambience and movement.

FAY (LA)
The recent release of her full-length Deathwatch on Time No Place offers fragmented hints of the most sepulchral techno in a context of chopped up vocals, melodic repetition that hints at Minimalist phasing, and sparse textures.

Raica (SEA)
Fresh from her recent performance on Sonarchy (KEXP), Chloe Harris returns to with her unique industrial, dance-floor friendly, atonal and often dubby compositions.

Bardo:Basho (SEA)
Dave Segal describes Elevator co-founder Kirsten Thom as working "in the beatific, quasi-tribal mode of late-era Dead Can Dance, with traces of Laurie Anderson’s floating, uneasy ambience in the mix."
