Edna Vazquez
Edna performs original compositions that pay homage to her many Latin American influences and frequently mixes in her own arrangements of traditional songs to bring the feeling of Mexico’s Folkloric music to her audience. She sings with a velvety voice and sometimes whistles the melodies to compliment her guitar. A versatile and experienced musician, Edna not only spans styles and genres, but plays music in a variety of arrangements including performing solo, with the Edna Vazquez Quintet and with Mariachi.
Diana Gameros
Diana Gameros is a Latin singer/songwriter who performs songs of love, longing, and hope. Originally from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and now living in San Francisco, Gameros creates authentic, inspiring music that reflects the 21st century experiences of a young indie artist at the borderlands between cultures, languages, and genres. Whether teasing every ounce of expression from her acoustic guitar in an intimate cafe or bringing people to their feet in a club with her dynamic full band, Gameros transfixes listeners with her soaring vocals, impressive playing and captivating stage presence. In October 2014 Gameros received the Emerging Leader Award from the Chicana Latina Foundation for her work in music and social activism.Gameros has opened concerts for Cecilia Bastida, Latin Grammy-nominee Ximena Sariñana, Torreblanca, and Bebel Gilberto.
Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is all ages until 10pm.
