This event has passed.

Learn the basics of impact play with JJ.  We'll talk about safety basics, kink physiology (where on the body to hit or not, how to ride the "endorphin train"), and (for those who are new or on the fence) why you might want to do impact play in the first place.

Then a wide range of techniques and toys will be demonstrated, from thuddy to stingy.  Punching, floggers, paddles, canes, whips!  Leather, wood, metal, rubber, horsehair! Oh my!

We'll use a mix of hands-on exercises (for everyone in the audience who's interested), and on-stage scenes with demo bottoms (yay!) to illustrate the wide range of possibilities in this space, from light to heavy-duty.  The demos will also give us an opportunity to cover negotiation basics and aftercare.

Impact play can be lovely, and even people who think they're not into "that stuff" will usually find that there's some variant of impact that works for them.  Come check it out!

Cost at the door: $25.

About the Educator:

JJ mistrusts Kink resumes and Leather Celebrity, and also dislikes writing in the third person.  I've been in the kink scene for almost a decade, and impact play has been one of my main forms of play.  I moved here semi-recently from the San Francisco Bay area, where I was an officer in the Society of Janus (a BSDM educational organization) and taught sex education classes at San Francisco Sex Information, among other nefarious activities. I'm a firm believer in making my classes entertaining and also compassionate and welcoming to all participants, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, body type, experience level, etc.  My goal is to share what I've learned from my years of play and encourage you to take whatever you want from it and make it your own.
