HAND OF THE HILLS (LP Release Party)

"With an all-star cast comprising David Totten (the Quiet Ones, Scriptures), Matt Benham (Black Swedes), and Aaron Walters (Akimbo), Hand of the Hills make gritty rock 'n' roll that tears it up with shots of twanged-out riffs and slightly dark Southern-style vocals. Perfect for a rowdy bonfire or driving through a thunderstorm in a pickup truck with the windows down." — The Stranger

BRANDEN DANIEL & THE CHICS

Branden Daniel & the Chics is a band that is constantly evolving. Three years ago their debut Album Keep Em Flying moved Audiences with Garage Rock hammers. In 2013 they released a 7” Single titled Melt Chyo Heart, and it did just that with R&B finesse. Now, they have taken everyone by surprise with their latest 7” Single In Light (out July 15th). More groove, more bass, more voice, Branden Daniel & the Chics have created an entirely new sound and approach for themselves.
Over the past year during Live shows the band experimented with bassist and multi-instrumentalist Nate Kruz playing Keys and Branden Daniel switching from Guitar to Bass. Which in a 3 piece band means NO Guitar! The sound brought a new appeal that was evident to the group from their Audience’s excitement. Knowing they needed these songs on Vinyl immediately, the band went into Seattle’s Litho Studios with Producer Tom Biller (Karen O, Kate Nash, Eels) and recorded using Analogue tape. The result is a dreamy combination of spacey ease, Black Sabbath like attack and Bowie like smooth delivery.

MARTY MARQUIS (of Blitzen Trapper)

Marty Marquis is a musician and songwriter best known for his work as a multi-instrumentalist and hype man with Portland band Blitzen Trapper. Despite never being released as a proper studio recording, live renditions of his song "Jericho" have long been favorites among Blitzen fans the world over. Additionally, his cowbell-playing for the group has been heralded as "virtuosic."
