Our skin is the barrier between us and the world. Come explore the physical and psychological implications of breaking this barrier. Through a slide show and demonstration, Sophia will share detailed information about the tissue and structures that comprise our skin. Learn how to work with or against skin's nature to further your needle scene. How much do you want it to hurt? How do you know how deep to put needles? The answers to these questions, and more, lie in understanding the skin's anatomy and developing palpation skills.

This is a class for both bottoms and tops, of all genders and orientations. Come prepared to participate in palpation exercises.

Cost at the door: $25.
Attendance is limited to 40 people.
Questions may be directed to: education@thefspc.org

About the Educators:

Sophia Sky was raised by wolves. After she was socialized, she became a massage therapist and then taught at a nationally accredited vocational school. As an anatomy geek, she delights in sharing how knowledge of the body can increase fun in BDSM and sex play.

Najalaise is maniacal but decent. Well before joining the Center for Sex-Positive Culture in 2005, Naj was exploring kink and introducing others to play piercing, figging, sounding, fisting, and more. In recent years, Najalaise has had the pleasure of presenting at Paradise Unbound, the New England Erotic Hypnosis Unconference, and the Western Erotic Hypnosis Unconference. They have also taken a turn behind the scenes, including working on the organizing committee for the 2013 Kink LINCS Leadership Symposium and as Programming Director for Paradise Unbound 2014. On an ongoing basis, Naj presents workshops on kink skills, introduces still more people to piercing and other delights through tasting events, and plans monthly parties and panel discussions at the CSPC. Naj is gleeful about learning and trying new things, both as a top and a bottom, and is committed to building community which fosters knowledge, creativity, and passion.
