Founded in 2014 by Blayne Barnes, Heather Bentley, Victoria Parker, and Eli Weinberger, with the help of Matthew McGrath, North Corner Chamber Orchestra is a collaborative, self-governed ensemble led by violinist Victoria Parker. Its membership comprises dynamic professional musicians who perform regularly with Seattle’s major musical institutions. Adventurous programming offers a many-centuries’ span of beloved large-scale works performed with the intimacy and spontaneity of chamber music. Collaborations with living composers are an exciting part of the orchestra’s mission: new work premiers are an integral part of its broader programming. They are currently in residence at the Royal Room in Columbia City, Seattle.
Featuring: Dorothy Chang – Virtuosities;
Alfred Schnittke – Concerto for Piano and Strings, Cristina Valdes, piano;
Jacques Ibert – Three Short Pieces for Wind Quintet (1935);
W.A. Mozart – Symphony 29
Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table.
