With Seattle Shibari

This event has passed.

THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW SOLD OUT. To be placed on the wait list, please email education@thefspc.org.  Thank you.

You’ve learned some basic ties—but how do you use them together to make a hot scene? How do move your partner smoothly from one position to another, keeping the scene going?

In this three-hour class, we’ll explore effective ways to place your partner into beautiful positions on the ground, and move them smoothly & safely from one position to another.  By the end of the class, you’ll have learned a basic kata/form you can use to do a hot, multi-position floorwork progression, and use as a template for creating your own, individual progressions.

Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable tying a basic 2-rope gote shibari (‘box tie’). We’ll do a quick review of the two-rope gote shibari at the start of class, but you will need basic familiarity with it beforehand. If you do not wish to use a box tie for the course, it will be totally acceptable to tie a chest harness, instead. This class is definitely appropriate for all genders, sexual orientations, and body types!

Equipment & Dress:

Vanilla to the door. Inside: clothing comfortable for tying.

Rope tops will need to bring: (6-8) 24’- 30’ pieces of 5-6mm rope.

Hemp or jute is recommended, but synthetic rope is fine.  Don’t have any rope? We’ll have a little extra on hand for use, and Twisted Monk will be vending his excellent bondage rope before the class.

To ensure personal attention to each participant, class size will be limited to 10 duos. Due to the small class size, early registration is highly recommended.

Cost at the door: $75 (per duo)
