Dræmhouse + Season of Strangers + The Good Wives
The Central Saloon Presents:
Dræmhouse (Psych Rock // Ex-Rose WIndows)
http://draemhouse.bandcamp.com/
Dræmhouse, who include ex-Rose Windows drummer Pat Schowe, Red Ribbon's Emma Danner, andOur Mother the Mountain's Brock Carless. You can check out their song"Woundlicker" after the jump. It's an easygoing chugger gently buoyed by Cheveyo's soft-spoken vocals and ghostly backing vox. (Anyone else hearing hints of "My Sweet Lord"?) Cheveyo poignantly asks, "Who's gonna save my soul?"; you may be surprised to learn that the answer to the question is you. The song goes down with a smoothness and glints with golden-brown electric-guitar sighs. It's an auspicious omen for future releases and shows.
Season Of Strangers (shoegaze/dreampop)
http://www.seasonofstrangers.com/
“Season of strangers' "Yellow Moon" is a brief burst of retro indie rock, recalling at times both the crooked fuzz of Archers of Loaf and Superchunk and the flanger pedal-drenched dreaminess of Cocteau Twins and the Cure.”
-Jon Rooney, Ball of Wax 39
