Whim W'Him and the TeenTix New Guard: Teen Arts Leadership Society are excited to invite you to Contemporary Dance 101 (aka Whirl into the World of Whim W'Him) at Whim W'Him's OUT-spoken, a trio of new dance works by world-renowned choreographers James Gregg, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Artistic Director Olivier Wevers.

Teens (and their adult counterparts) are invited to a pre-show reception + CONTEMPORARY DANCE 101 by Artisic Director (and former PNB principal dancer & choreographer) Olivier Wevers, the show, intermission snack-breaks, and a post-show talkback with the company. Ticket proceeds for this special event will go directly to TeenTix and our mission to ensure equitable access to the arts for all young people.

6:30 pm - Doors open, TeenTix pre-show reception (w/ SNACKS!) begins

7:00 pm - Whim W'Him Artistic Director Olivier Wevers' CONTEMPORARY DANCE 101, contextualizing the evening's works

8:00 pm - Curtain

ABOUT OUT-spoken

The 2015 Princess Grace Foundation Choreography winner and Montreal-based James Gregg will contribute his dynamic and articulate style. Whim W'Him welcomes the return of 2013 National Dance Award UK winner, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, who will create her 4th piece on the company. Additionally, Olivier has paired up with local artist Dylan Ward to remix Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet for his final creation of the season.

Whim W’Him is an award-winning Seattle-based contemporary dance company founded in 2009 by Olivier Wevers, former Pacific Northwest Ballet principal dancer and choreographer, that showcases innovative dance in collaboration with global artists. The mission of Whim W’Him is to provide a platform, centered on choreography and dance, for artists to explore their craft through innovation and collaboration.
