This event has passed.

A special night at LoFi to commemorate the release of a new EP by Portland's SKIN LIES and a new LP by Seattle's Benoît Pioulard, rounded out by a set from Bay-area guests White Cloud. Read all about it:

BENOIT PIOULARD

Since a young age, Thomas Meluch has been fascinated by natural sounds and the textures of decay and for more than a decade has combined remnants of pop song structures with field recordings and a ramshackle assemblage of instruments and analog devices. For this show he is celebrating the release of his newest LP for kranky, The Benoit Pioulard Listening Matter.

SKIN LIES

SKIN LIES is the solo musical guise of multimedia artist Dustin Krcatovich, who has been performing under the name since 2014. The music of Skin Lies is aleatory and exploratory, a unique amalgam of kosmische dream-conjuring, pulsing industrial smear, and minimalist composition/repetition.

WHITE CLOUD

White Cloud was formed in Oakland back in 2007 by Nick Capello, James Murphy, Clarence Magno, and Shiv Mehra (of Deafheaven and Creepers). They bonded over their love for various styles of music but settled well into their own mix of 70s krautrock and pop. Since then they have released numerous EPs on Bandcamp and gained recognition for their pop psychedelia in the Bay Area. The band recently released their first LP Seven Heads via Popgang Records, recorded with Patrick Spurgeon of Rogue Wave.
