Advance tickets recommended, reserve/purchase at
henryart.org/tickets or at the Henry front desk*
To celebrate the opening of Videowatercolors: Carel Balth among His Contemporaries, Dutch artist Carel Balth will discuss his most recent series Videowatercolors, which poetically combine the flow of digital pixels with the medium of watercolor paper or canvas. When Balth speaks of the ‘gift of perception,’ he understands the importance in an increasingly complex world of a sustained reflection on perception, on subtle shifts in viewing and apperception that result from new forms of imaging and imagination. Reception to follow.
Henry Members may preview the exhibition before the artist’s lecture from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and enjoy complimentary refreshments in the Henry’s café. Though tickets are free to members, space is not guaranteed. Reserve your free ticket at henryart.org/tickets
