Seattle Rope Studio presents Shibari Dojo February!

Thu, Feb 16, 2017 at 7pm

This event has passed.

This month we have some delightful focus topics to share with you along with plenty of time for open, guided practice for your own ties.

February Focus Topics:

This month we will be discussing tying with connection from both the bottom and the top’s perspective. We will have drills and practice ideas to help improve these important skills.

Bottom: There are many classes that highlight ways for a top to provide connection through rope. But rope is a conversation. How do we, as bottoms, provide feedback without breaking the mood? Let’s practice answering the questions “When I am/am not enjoying myself, it will look like…” as well as giving feedback during and after scenes.

Top: Tying a person, not a package. We hear that all the time, but what does it mean? How can we as tops communicate our intent with rope and listen for the response? How can we welcome feedback, both verbal and non-verbal, in our scenes? Learn tools to have in your toolbox to increase connection during play.

Pre-requisite: Tops, please make sure you know one tie (single column, chest harness, futomomo, etc) that you can tie without really thinking about the steps. One that flows naturally.
