Kitten N' Lou present:  Holier Than Thou

May 4, 5, and 6 at West Hall, Capitol Hill

Tickets $25-$35, plus VIP seating available (tables seat up to 4 guests).

LET’S GET BIBLICAL. Fresh from a critically-acclaimed smash run at Fringe World in Australia, everyone’s favorite gay-married superduo drag darlings return home to Seattle with a brand new glitter bomb of award-winning dance, irreverent striptease, and surreal comedic magic that’s been called “BRILLIANTLY DERANGED” by Time Out NY. Expect to be converted and shouting “YAS GAWD!”

Whether you’re pure as the driven snow or a catholic school dropout, you must not miss Kitten N’ Lou’s demented and glittering romp through the Old Testament and beyond, as they dig deep and ask the hard questions: What is the meaning of our existence in the universe? Are we really supposed to believe there’s a God if Donald Trump is president? How can homosexuality be a sin when the Bible is clearly so GAY GAY GAY?!? Holier Than Thou is the “show-stopping, costume-laden, full-out-camp, gender-bending, queer-positive retooling of the Bible you never knew you needed.” (The West Australian)

Holier Than Thou features vocal characterizations by RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 Winner Jinkx Monsoon and her partner in crime Major Scales.

“Kitten LaRue and Lou Henry Hoover gave me life, and I wasn’t alone in my joy – this is the first Fringe show I’ve seen that elicited a unanimous standing ovation...Go see it. Revel in it.” (Xpress Magazine) 9.5/10 stars

"These two astonishing women will touch your heart and your funny bone." (OUT in Perth 2016) ★★★★

Recently voted the #1 Burlesque Duo in the World (21st Century Burlesque), this “camp, show-stopping couple” (The UK Daily Mail) uses burlesque, drag, dance, and theater to make performance that has been described as “the wacky love child of vaudeville and club drag” (Australian Stage 2016), “polished, clever, and glamorous” (Dita Von Teese), and “GENIUS” (The Huffington Post). Since joining forces as “The World’s Show-Busiest Couple” both on and offstage, Kitten N’ Lou have been crowned Most Comedic at the 2014 Burlesque Hall of Fame, honored as 2014 Artists of the Year by City Arts Magazine, and funded with grants from such entities as 4Culture. Known for their signature brand of highly choreographed comedic camp extravaganzas, this brash and dazzling duo has seduced audiences across the globe, headlining festivals such as the Helsinki Burlesque Festival and Viva Las Vegas. Their two-weirdo show OVEREXPOSED has delighted international audiences from Joe's Pub in NYC to the Fringe World Festival in Perth. Kitten N’ Lou recently made their television debut with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett on the PBS Great Performances special Cheek to Cheek.

“A genius invention.” (The Huffington Post 2015)

“The chemistry between them is palpable... a glorious bundle of glitz and silliness. To call it over-the-top would barely do it justice. It doesn’t get much zanier, it certainly doesn’t get much sparklier, than this show from a beguiling and truly unique pair of artists.” (Australian Stage 2016)
