About Spencer and Sequoia:
Spencer and Sequoia are a husband and wife duo touring the East Coast, wowing audiences with their unique blend of Pop, Folk, Jazz and RnB. Fresh off two successful single releases, a nomination at the 2016 Independent Music Awards, and features across the web and in print (including Borns Music, Pause and Play, and even Relix Magazine), they release their debut EP this fall.

Spencer and Sequoia began as an intercontinental musical collaboration via email. In her hometown of Auckland, New Zealand, Sequoia would write and record demos. Those demos would get sent to Spencer, a Seattleite living in New York. He would then work on the songs with his band, and they'd send their work back to Sequoia. When she finally made the trip to America to perform with the band, what started as a musical connection became much more. Come see the dynamic duo share their love and music, and celebrate the release of their Debut EP!

“...this vital, direct approach only enhances the emotional honesty and integrity in the songs”
- Born Music

About Alex Ashley:
“Masterfully weaving the old with the new, Alex Ashley brings fresh eyes and an old soul to the gritty realities of life and love lost. With an unorthodox approach [speaking of his method of playing guitar upside down and backwards], Ashley delivers heartfelt vocals and wields his well-worn six-string to stir fresh reflection on the human condition in a way only honest American music can. And that’s what he makes - real music of the tortured and fiercely independent West, rooted firmly in the musical traditions of country and rock & roll.” — Dillon Honcoop, Cascade Radio Group

“Alex Ashley’s … songwriting takes you inside yourself and then out, impressing the beauty and danger of the complex world we live in, the heart is best kept safe through lyrical wanderings… A singer-songwriter to watch for, and listen to in these days of ours…”—Zan Agzigian, Host/Producer, 91.1 KPBX Spokane Public Radio

A rare, triple-threat singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, Alex Ashley creates an electrifying amalgam of insightful lyrics, profound storytelling, sultry, smoky vocals and razor-sharp guitar playing that brings his songs to life with nostalgic effervescence. Described as a combination of Jackson Browne, Eric Clapton and "a young Vince Gill," Ashley crosses the boundaries of folk, blues and Americana music with new and original songwriting.
