"In the past two years indie rockers Big League have emerged from the exploding music scene in Melbourne, Australia and have steadily grown their reputation with a prolific number of releases and head turning live shows. Big League supported the recent release of the debut album “I thought thunderbolt" with a string of well received video releases and a national release tour.

Since the album release Big League have enjoyed critical acclaim from media outlets such as Beat, The Music and Happy Mag along with sustained play on the ABC's RAGE program, PBS and more. With momentum growing the band has been selected to showcase at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas which they will follow with a West Coast US tour.

"I thought thunderbolt" showcases a band at the top of their game, melodic guitars, driving hooks and duel male/female vocals take the listener back to the heyday of alternative rock and bring to mind bands like Guided By Voices, Pavement and Archers of Loaf. The 11 tracks, including the excellent new single "Feel Good Peace", provide an essential blast of uplifting indie rock that is on the verge of breaking the band far beyond the Melbourne suburbs. "
