Seattle Poetry Slam is sending a team to National Poetry Slam in Chicago, Illinois to compete against 96 other cities in the world! Last year, Seattle Poetry Slam placed in the top 25 teams (of 96) and the year before in the top 20! On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, the 2018 Seattle Poetry Slam National Team will showcase the poetry they will be competing with at National Poetry Slam with our city! The Seattle Poetry Slam National Team is comprised of 4 poets: Rio Chanae, Ben Yisrael, Ebo Barton and Garfield Hillson. This showcase is also a fundraiser to cover the costs of travel and lodging to Chicago, Illinois. Come out to send Seattle's finest slam poetry team off in style!
Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm.
