Advance tickets can only be purchased online-we do not sell advance tickets at the venue. Refunds are not available within 48 hours of the event. Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. Seating is first come first served. The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm.

Jamaar Smiley, also known as the "Voice of the Northwest", is a Spoken Word Artist, Cultural Curator, Poet, Author and Educator. His work captures the essence of proud black men and women, youth and adult alike, by diving deep into the people, the history, the upbringing, the communities, the Ancestors, and the culture itself.

From community activist and author, Tamika Mallory, to musical icon David Banner, to an ever-growing list of star-studded actors, comedians, international musicians, government officials and more, Jamaar Smiley has ignited the stage with the power of his words.

Jayza Duhon:

Jayza Duhon is an international mezzo-soprano, award-winning vocalist. Classically trained in opera, with a modern influence of soul, jazz, rhythm and blues, and gospel, her singing journey began at the age of 3, leading her church’s children’s choir, in the Seattle’s Central District area.

A Northwest native, Jayza, when not sharing her gift with the world, is using her voice to uplift the community of Seattle.

“Seattle helped me find my true voice, and with so many changes approaching the city I want to do my part to make sure that our voice, our culture and our story is still preserved.”

Jayza has shared her blend of vocal talent nation-wide. From setting the bar with Grammy- award winner, Robert Glasper to unleashing explosive melodies at Benaroya Hall, this powerhouse vocalist is sure to leave her mark in the hearts and mind of those who experience such a wonderful display of song.

 

D’Mario Carter-

D’Mario Carter is an artist, creative, and poet and a native to Seattle, Washington. He has traveled the West Coast and beyond to deliver his message, share his words, and converse vulnerability through the mic. In 2021, Carter turned his organization Woke & Heard into an official nonprofit organization. Woke & Heard is focused on the expression of art in the form of spoken word and poetry. They are committed to inspire and to positively impact the collective through acts of service for individuals and families.

 It's not about the number of snaps, but the amount of people who listen to his messages and absorb it into their lives and apply it to their past, future, and present. His main focus is always finding a way to work towards Community Empowerment. Carter has inhaled the air and exhaled his heart and soul so people of all ages, color, and gender can breathe easy.

Elijah Mui’ed (6 Deep The Messenger)-

Elijah H. Mui’ed is the Spoken Word & Performance artist

“6 Deep the Messenger!”.

He has been involved in the Performance Arts throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 3 decades as an event host/emcee, featured performer, artist mentor and workshop facilitator. In November 2015 he released his first Album “Revolutionary Rhythms – The Move Forward”, a unique blend Of Spoken Word & Soul Music that is both entertaining, educational & uplifting. His poetry is “all-encompassing” in its scope, ranging from politics and consciousness to love, hate, lust and “all that is in between!”  An outspoken voice for positive change through the arts, Elijah frequently lends his voice and talents at cultural events, art exhibitions and showcases that speak to positive growth and change within the community.

His motto/Signature Quote is: “Ignorance Is Not Bliss! Knowledge Is The Key To True & Positive Change”!
