Have you ever had the experience of someone walking in on you while watching porn? Ever accidentally liked a sexual post on social media? Or have you had the dreaded experience of not realizing the audio to the porn you’re watching is playing on bluetooth speakers in the living room? Even if you haven’t been caught watching porn, you may have been alone and still closed your browser in shame after you’ve finished. There can be a lot of shame around viewing porn, from others, as well as from messages we’ve internalized from all around us.

In this workshop, we will explore consent-based tools to help you move through shame and communicate with people after any incident like the ones mentioned above. Join us to share skills and stories that will help with setting boundaries with family, apologizing to a roommate, negotiating with a sexual/romantic partner around privacy and sexual autonomy, and more. There will be opportunities for participants to engage anonymously through polls and other apps, publicly in group discussions, or in small groups in breakout rooms. This session will not be recorded.
