Less Spectacle. More Soul.
REMIX '26
A New Year's Dance Event
Wed, Dec 31 at 8pm - Sun, Jan 4, 2026 at 11:30pm
At 3 a.m. on New Year's Day,
the people still dancing at Reverie Ballroom
will know something others don't.
REMIX '26. A gentler way to begin.
There is a particular kind of joy that only reveals itself past midnight. When the champagne toasts are done. When the music slows and the room grows closer, and you find yourself moving with people who understand that dancing is not performance—it is conversation.
This New Year's Eve, and for three days following, Reverie Ballroom invites you to something we're calling REMIX '26. The doors stay open until 4 a.m. on the first morning of the year, if your feet and heart are willing. We suspect they will be.
But we should be honest with you about what this is not.
It is not a party designed for photographs. There will be no elaborate decorations competing for your attention. No relentless spectacle. Plenty of space to make new memories. We've traded sparkle-for-show for something harder to manufacture and impossible to fake: comfort for the soul.
What to Expect:
-
A Soulful New Year’s Eve Bash featuring blues, kizomba and zouk, experimenting with the edges and overlaps between styles and communities, with a special midnight celebration and mischief afoot!
-
A New Year’s Day Ballroom Brunch, think Southern comforts meets the Pacific Northwest. Come for the delicious breakfast buffet, groove a little, stay to cozy up on the Grand couches dinner-theater-style and watch classic dance films and clips for the afternoon.
-
Four More Nights of Social Dancing (1st-4th) across our ballrooms, blending blues, zouk, kizomba, and slow lindy with DJ battles, live bands and carefully crafted sets.
-
Guest Instructors guiding you through each style and the liminal spaces between, in curated daytime workshops for those ready to dive deep in a genre or expand their palates. (Announcing Instructors and Workshops December 8th!)
-
Community Events including Acro Yoga, jams sessions, skill shares, and more, if you want to just hang out at the ballroom each day and take it slow.
-
Panel Discussions on DJing across dance styles, musical diasporas, and more!
-
Vinyasa yoga classes in the Emerald to start your day, or wring out your body after taking other workshops.
-
Come inside from the Stormy Weather, as we are the unofficial after-party for all those who want to keep grooving and swinging out through the first weekend of 2026!
-
Dinner and Drinks at the Art Table next door, featuring delectable craft cocktails and a sumptuous selection of yum yums.
Over these four days, you'll encounter dance styles that have traveled through history to reach you. The hush of blues. The sway of zouk. The closeness of kizomba. The honey-soft joy of slow lindy. These Oddfellows Ballrooms have held over a century of movement within their walls—and now they'll hold something new.
You'll wander into corners you've passed a hundred times and discover they look entirely different in softer light, with unfamiliar rhythms, among friends you haven't met yet.
What to wear? Think cozy layers. Well-loved dancewear. The soft sweater you reach for when you want to feel like yourself. This is not an occasion for stiff formalwear and pinching shoes. This is an occasion for moving well and feeling good while you do it.
Come as you are. Stay as long as you like.

New Year's Eve Bash
with midnight mischief making!
Wed, Dec 31 at 8pm
- 18+
Ring in 2026 on a floor that isn’t packed shoulder-to-shoulder, where blues, zouk, kizomba, and slow lindy have room to bloom.
We could have sold twice as many tickets to REMIX '26. We chose not to.Here's why: The magic of partner dancing happens in the space between two people. Crowd a floor, and that space disappears. The connection breaks. The conversation ends before it begins.
So we're keeping this intimate. Deliberately small. A room where you'll actually dance with everyone who came, not just the people you already know.
What to Expect:
A Soulful New Year’s Eve Bash featuring blues, kizomba and zouk, experimenting with the edges and overlaps between styles and communities, with a special midnight celebration and mischief afoot!
