High Pulp: 
High Pulp is Seattle’s newest force. Coining their genre as “future funk fusion”, this 10-piece ensemble combines inspiration from legends such as Herbie Hancock and Earth Wind & Fire with modern influences ranging from hip-hop to electronic music. High Pulp draws comparisons to groups like Snarky Puppy and Badbadnotgood, making a name for itself through its energetic live performances. Obsessive attention to compositional detail and unique song structures characterize High Pulp’s music, along with innovative improvisational exploration. Come enjoy High Pulp live for a deeply engaging in-the-moment conversation amongst musicians or simply to get down to some dancey, funky, groovy tunes.

Shakewell: 
Shakewell is a six-piece musical brotherhood of lifelong friends and collaborators, all hailing from Western Montana. With a shared love for groove and songwriting each member draws upon their influence to conceive an original breed of music with a semblance of funk, jazz, soul, and rock n’ roll. 

Shakewell has released their first full length studio album — Marzoula — produced and engineered by the power duo of Alan Evans (Soulive, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe) and Brad Smalling at Evergroove, Smallings’ isolated mountainside studio in Evergreen, Colorado. The 14 track album playfully grapples with the conflicted nature of what it is to live in this day and age, and also the strange and unique perspective that the isolation of Montana affords. Conceptualized through this lens, Marzoula embodies the idea of being able to watch the troubles of this world from thousands of miles away, while experiencing them in person - via the internet - at the exact same moment.
