The Royal Room presents the third annual "Home for the Holidays" series, bringing native Seattle musicians to perform a night of music.
This night's performance features:
Chris McCarthy Collective A quintet of jazz heavyweights, all originally from Seattle. They played their first show last December at the Royal Room with a concert featuring the music of pianist/composer Fred Hersch, and are back this year with a set of all originals
The Evan Shay Group Originally from Seattle, Evan Shay is a saxophonist and composer based in Montreal. He is currently attending McGill University on the four year Seymour Schulich Scholarship. He has studied with renowned musicians such as Chet Doxas, Remi Bolduc, David Binney, Donny McCaslin, and many others. He has performed at the Umbria Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne, Jazz en Rafale, Festi Jazz international de Rimouski, and at major venues across North America.
Evan will be joined by New York and Seattle musicians Zubin Hensler on trumpet, Gus Carns on piano, Mat Muntz on bass, and Evan Woodle on drums. The quintet will be performing original music composed by Evan.

Please note: tickets do not guarantee a seat to shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show.
