In fact, Kevin Bacon has been described as “the center of the entertainment universe” and that you can connect almost any entertainer to Kevin Bacon. In fact, the party game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is based on this idea: Name an actor and connect them to Kevin Bacon in the least number of steps. Tom Hanks? Easy as pie: Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon in APOLLO 13. Errol Flynn? Errol Flynn and Cesare Danova in CROSSED SWORDS, Cesare Danova and Kevin Bacon in NATIONAL LAMPOON'S ANIMAL HOUSE. Here's a tough one: François Lallement in Georges Méliès' 1902 short A TRIP TO THE MOON? That’s a toughie. Well maybe we can’t connect Kevin Bacon to him. Fortunately for you, every performance in SIX DEGREES OF KEVIN, SHAKIN’ can be and if you can do that, you could win a prize.
SIX DEGREES OF KEVIN, SHAKIN’ is Saturday, January 9th at the Re-Bar in Seattle. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show begins at 7:30 pm. In each round, 2 contestants attempt to connect 3 burlesque acts back to Kevin Bacon. The winner of each elimination round moves to final round to win the ground prize. Hosting your game show experience is the Mouthy Trollop herself, Miss Violet DeVille. Presenting the acts for you to connect back to Kevin Bacon are Kansas City’s Animated Burlesque Star Annie-Mae Allure, Portland’s Infamous Nina Nightshade, Vancouver British Columbia’s Trixie Hobbitses, Whisper De Corvo, Carlotta Shakin, Nickey Bourbon, Rian Ryn, Scandal from Bohemia, and Tawdry Quirks.
