The Royal Room presents our fifth annual "Home for the Holidays" series, bringing native Seattle musicians to perform a night of music. 

7:00pm: Isak Gaines and Friends: Seattle natives , Nikhil Wadhwa, and Janak Preston all grew up playing in the straight-ahead jazz tradition, participating in the Garfield High School jazz program. However, over the past several years, each of these up and coming musicians has found their styles fused with elements of funk, rock, hip-hop, electronic music, and other groove-based genres from around the world and it is with this perspective that they reconvene this winter: a focus on groove, but in an open, improvised setting. 8:15pm: Willem de Koch's Shipping Container: Willem de Koch is a Seattle-based trombonist and composer, and co-founder of The Westerlies. His Shipping Container project explores the intersection of American folksong, jazz, and chamber music, in which the fireside sing-along and the grand concert hall manifest themselves with equal footing. 9:00pm: John Otten Collective is a ensemble of young musicians all from the Seattle-area. They are a product of the jazz education community (Roosevelt and Edmonds-Woodway alums) and each currently work/study in their respective cities (New York, Boston, and LA). Longtime friends, this group will premiere original music along with some standards.

Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is all ages until 10pm.
