Ephrata + Amy Viking + Tie Dye Fighter
The Central Saloon Presents An Evening of Indie Rock Featuring:
Ephrata wooed the crowd with lovely droning and four-part harmonies. There’s an imminent sadness to their music, which was a bit of an anomaly on an otherwise lively and upbeat lineup. The layers of fuzz and heavenly vocals fit the dank darkness of the basement – ideal for drinking a beer and getting lost in your own head. - Consequence Of Sound
Amy Viking began when guitarist, Nicolai Wallace and vocalist/guitarist, Max Olson, started playing music together at the age of 13 in the suburbs of their native Seattle.
Influenced by sounds varying from The Clash and Neil Young to the West African sounds of Fela Kuti and Spanish Flamenco of Paco de Lucia and Martires del Compas, Max and Nicolai have been creating unique summery sounds for friends and venues around Seattle since 2012.
In the last year the duo recruited (big boy) Sam Calhoon on bass and jazz prodigy Sam McDonald on drums.
