- Hellbat is a sinister triad of B-movie bass stroking raging organ over rattling drums. Band soldiers Guenther, Grant, and Sara like Shellac and the Cramps, but a complete stranger said it was more like Motorhead meets the B-52s.The band screams and clatters songs about serial cat murders and possessed Corollas cruising the dim highways of the mind. File under "Budget Rock" for people who like sad songs about dogs in space and badass odes to Samuel L. Jackson. Hellbat is a wink to the absurd and a nod to the macabre.
