APRIL's Summer Blockbuster!

Online ticket sales have ended, but tickets will be available at the door - so come on by!

Authors, Publishers and Readers of Independent Literature (APRIL) is spearheading a new series of seasonal events with Summer Blockbuster, a multimedia event ending with a screening of Jaws.

APRIL will premier this new event at the Northwest Film Forum on Thursday, August 29 at 7:00p.m.

The event will feature:
• A reading from poet Zachary Schomburg, author of The Man Suit, Scary No Scary, and Fjords, Vol. 1 (Black Ocean).
• Video from Dakota Gearhart
• A raffle featuring fabulous prizes
• Beer from Naked City Brewery

"Schomburg's writing features just as much intrigue and gore as a lot of pop-lit mysteries. His poems have people brushing horses to death, squished squirrels clutching hard-won acorns. A lot of dead animals, actually. Anyway, we think people deserve better than another grocery store paperback this summer." Schomburg will read at 7:30 p.m., and the screening of Jaws will begin at 8 p.m. sharp.

A huge thank you to Naked City Brewery for supplying the beer at this event!

Tickets:

• $8 advance general admission ($11 at the door)
• $12 advance general admission + 2 beers ($15 at the door)
• $24 advance VIP seating + Gold Cup (unlimited beer* - for one) advance purchase only.

*While supplies last.
