While New York City has long held the title of "jazz capitol of the world," in the 1920s no other city featured such innovative and invigorating talent as Chicago: where Louis Armstrong, Earl Hines, Bix Beiderbecke, King Oliver, Eddie Condon, Jelly Roll Morton and many others first achieved success and fame. This evening's all-star ensemble will spotlight trumpeter Mike Davis and pianist Ray Skjelbred who are expert practitioners of the magical early Chicago sound. Please come ready to drink, dance and have good time.

Jacob Zimmerman - clarinet, alto sax
Mike Davis - trumpet
Emily Asher - trombone
Ray Skjelbred - piano
Matt Weiner - bass
Jay Lepley - drums
