Zony Mash made their debut in late 1995 as the unofficial house band at the OK Hotel in Seattle, where the band developed their sounds with months of weekly gigs. In Zony Mash you´ll hear a wide variety of influences, including sixties-style psychedelic rock, blues, funk, New Orleans and definitely some sounds that could only be described as being from outer space. 

Featuring Tim Young, Wayne Horvitz, Andy Roth, Keith Lowe, Dave Carter, Briggan Krauss, Levi Gillis and Steve Moore 

Formed in 1999, Sweeter Than the Day began simply as the acoustic incarnation of Zony Mash. The band played a series of weekly shows at Seattle's Baltic Room, and quickly became Wayne Horvitz’s first piano-based ensemble in over 10 years, and one of Wayne's longest-running groups, as well as one of his favorites. Despite the shared personnel, the ensemble is quite distinct from the electric Zony Mash and the repertoire is almost entirely different. The band has toured throughout the US, Canada and Europe.

V is a large rock ensemble led by Paul Moore and Tim Young. V will perform "Bala," a song cycle about the greed and avarice of those in power and the resilience of the people they subjugate, written in the grand orchestral rock style of George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass."
Both psychedelic and soulful, "Bala" takes the listener on a journey through fear, anger bewilderment, understanding and forgiveness. Written during the ascension of George Bush and the Neo-Con war hawks of 2000, it is once again a timely piece, in light of the recent elections which have brought so many frightening people to power.

Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm.
