The Greenblatt Generations band is a classic trumpet-and-tenor jazz quintet reminiscent of the combos led by Horace Silver, whose music they revere. Both leaders are accomplished songwriters; their repertoire includes several of their tunes along with a tasty selection from such great composers as Silver, Billy Strayhorn, Benny Golson, Sy Johnson, Richard Rogers, Hoagy Carmichael, Wayne Shorter, etc.
