This event has passed.

We are pleased to present the next installment of Vertex featuring IVVY (TUF, JUNGLE GYM RECORDS), DJ Having Sex (Dani Loose), and Vertex resident, DJ Later at Timbre Room. Let's get together on the dance floor, put aside our differences and go on a euphoric, hypnotic techno trip. We are here to celebrate queer and gay sexuality, music, art, design, and human connection. A creative sublimation lights and shadow; instinct and rationality; heaven and hell.

Tickets $8 adv/$12 door

Seattle’s IVVY, aka Madi Levine (they/them), is a purveyor of tracks for the bleakest of dance floors. Squelching synths and dissonant pads shape themselves into a body of disfigured techno with distorted kick drums for a heart. IVVY’s productions and live sets are a maturation of an adolescence spent at renegade warehouse parties in the Midwest: relentless energy that infects the body with a need for freedom.
Constant touring has earned IVVY features supporting regional and int’l touring DJs and live acts for parties such as Hot Mass , Surface Tension, Fine Time, High+Tight, secondnature, In Training, and On Earth (Toronto). They have also taught workshops on production and studio management at events such as Kremfest 2019 and ITWxW (hosted by gfx, Pittsburgh).

A darling of the local rave scene, DJ Having Sex stands out as an inimitable entity. Dani Loose (they/them) started out playing college parties and bars while they were underage in Olympia, sneaking away to party in Seattle at any chance they could. They quickly became a fixture of the queer nightlife and underground techno communities, developing a much more serious taste for club music while crate-digging throughout the city’s record shops. Dani has been known to bounce around genres and tempos throughout their mixes, resulting in a dizzying, tongue-in-cheek, rave-ready sound that’s sure to piss off all the right people and keep the party rockin'.

DJ Later (Vertex)

Spinning a mix of house and techno DJ Later (formerly Tank Top) is driven to make people dance and feel a bit weird and tripped out. Spinning at various parties around Portland and Seattle, DJ Later has honed his craft for spaced out house and techno beats and is ready to unleash his musical fantasies upon your face.
