Upcycled Fashion - Short skirts (with pockets!)

Have you ever wanted to be able to make your own clothes, but without the hassle of buying yards of fabric and learning to use a sewing machine? We'll learn how to rescue boring old t-shirts and other garments from the landfill and turn them into cute and practical skirts - with pockets, of course. Ok for begining hand-sewers, we'll cover the few necessary stitches. All materials are provided, though you're welcome to bring in clothing you'd like to upcycle into something cool.

About the instructor: Maxx Follis-Goodkind has been turning old clothes into new ones for as long as she can remember. She hopes by teaching people how to create new clothes our of used ones that she can help stop the flow of fast fashion to the landfill.
