Online ticket sales have ended. Please contact meganh@aiaseattle.org to inquire about time slots.

The Proactive Practice exhibition will be open on July 25th for a single day only. Please join us by reserving a half-hour time slot between 10am and 3pm. Curators Jackie and Tristan will be present to answer questions about the research.

As speculative development and fast-paced growth transform urban space, architects must not be complacent in service to the market economy. How can we practice architecture in support of our communities and reclaim a meaningful role in the production of space?Proactive Practice examines how architects self-initiate projects to reinforce vibrant and adaptive communities.

The gallery is open for in-person viewing for parties of up to five people (you and up to 4 others of your choosing). Visitors will be required to bring and wear a mask and maintain socially distant from one another. Visitors will also be asked a series of questions as part of a safety screen and to assist in contact tracing. Due to Phase II restrictions, visits will be limited to 30 minutes. If you have any questions, please contact the Exhibit & Event Coordinator.
