Max Presents 4mm Scenes - More Fun, Less Rope

Max is rarely without a piece of 4mm rope. Look in his pocket, his briefcase, his glove box… It’s easy to carry, easy to hide, easy to use.

4mm rope is well suited for quick, brutal scenes - hojo ties, strenuous partial suspensions, toe ties. It’s equally appropriate for more gentle moments - a collar and lead, a hair tie, a blindfold. With a little practice you can accomplish so much with so little.

This workshop focuses on how to use a piece or two of 4mm to accomplish your objectives, whatever they are. 4mm bondage is quick, elegant, and fiendishly effective. We’ll discuss, demo and practice a range of techniques - how to hank and carry your 4mm, how to deploy it, and how to use it to be strenuous, kind, or artistic. After some practice you may find yourself wondering why you always carry that heavy rope bag.

We’ll also cover the unique safety considerations for 4mm scenes, and there will be a number of hot demos. By the end of the workshop you'll be able to competently use your 4mm.

* Workshop format

Appropriate social distancing means that many of us do not have ready access to a practice partner. This class is structured to facilitate practicing on yourself / inanimate objects / partners after the class, but does NOT require a practice partner during the class. There will be a 30 minute practice period after the class if you'd like to practice on camera while Max watches and assists.

If you want to practice during the workshop, please have the following at hand:

Max's classes always have a handout, and you'll receive yours as part of your welcome packet after you register. It's 14+ pages designed to reinforce the online instruction, helping you remember the knots and techniques as you practice.

As always, the emphasis is on learning and having fun.

* Who should attend?

No prior knowledge of bondage or knots is assumed for this class - it's perfectly appropriate for beginners. If you've already done some bondage it's a great way to tune up your technique.

This workshop assumes no previous BDSM experience and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.

Attendees will receive an illustrated handout full of principles, safety information, basic technique, and plenty of pictures and instruction to help you practice the knots and ties in this workshop.

Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has been teaching bondage, BDSM, and polyamory workshops since 1999.

While he is proficient with a wide range of BDSM skills, Max especially enjoys the intimacy of rope bondage and the intensity of the singletail. Max projects a gentle, dominant energy, and all of his relationships - and most of his scenes - include a substantial D/S component.
