Max Presents Intimate Hypnosis: Getting Into Trance - The Elman Induction

If you’ve been to Max’s Intimate Hypnosis workshops or seen a hypno demo at an All The Demos event, you’ve probably seen an Elman Induction.

Named after Dave Elman, the Elman Induction is a reliable way to invite your subject into trance. It’s composed of five pieces, each of which could reasonably be considered an induction by itself. It’s consistently effective for almost everyone.

When you leave this workshop you’ll be ready to do your first induction. We’ll discuss and demo a full Elman Induction, dissect it and discuss the parts, then send you away with a handout and the experience necessary to get started.

This class focuses on building confidence doing Elman inductions. It includes discourse, demonstrations, and opportunities for solo or paired practice. Note that the practice does NOT require that you have a partner.

As we frame up the class we’ll discuss negotiation, appropriate consent models, and aftercare as they relate to hypno scenes.

As always with Max’s classes, there’ll be a handout to facilitate your learning and your ability to practice after the workshop.

There are no prerequisites for attendance. Everyone is welcome.

While this content is aimed squarely at folks who want to be hypnotists, subjects will also find it interesting and useful. It’s your mind that’s being played with - you should have the best possible understanding of how this works.

This workshop assumes no previous BDSM or hypnosis experience and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.

Attendees will receive a handout full of principles, safety information, basic technique, and resources.

Max also offers private hypnosis sessions and private coaching as you build your skill as a hypnotist or subject. These sessions are completely customized to meet your needs and desires. Contact Max to discuss these offerings.

Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has been teaching bondage, BDSM, and polyamory workshops since 1999.

While he is proficient with a wide range of BDSM skills, Max especially enjoys the intimacy of rope bondage and the intensity of the singletail. Max projects a gentle, dominant energy, and all of his relationships - and most of his scenes - include a substantial D/S component.
