Sepia Jewel’s guide to leveling up (9:30am to 11:00am)

Transitioning from student burlesque performer/new performers to professional can be frustrating. Join Sepia Jewel for a 90-minute lecture and discussion on how to navigate and prepare yourself for bookings, the in's and out’s of festivals, leveling up your act, social interaction and much more. This session will concentrate more on upgrading your act and costume. Please bring a costume or video of act.

Glove Play with Whisper de Corvo (11:15am to 12:15pm)

Taking off a pair of opera gloves is as easily recognizable as pasties to burlesque audiences, but in a world where bare hands are no longer scandalous how do we make these slips of fabric sexy, or fun? Whisper will walk you through multiple removal techniques and games to make your glove play impactful and anything but boring. This class goes over a few different ways to play with our gloves to entice and delight our audiences, partners and friends. Whether you are getting onstage or acting out a fantasy this class is for you! **Please wear comfortable clothes, however movement is not intensive. Heels are not required. If you have Gloves please bring them The instructor will also have some that can be borrowed!

Stumped On The Floor: Dance movement and musicality for non-dancers with Nina Nightshade (12:30pm to 2:00pm)

You don’t have to be a “dancer” to use dance movement and musicality in your performances. Pulling from over 30 years dance experience of various forms, The Infamous Nina Nightshade will teach you the basics of dance postures and movements you can use in your burlesque performance. Course will also include basic concepts in what “musicality” means and how it can make an impact in your acts even if you don’t dance. As the name implies, no dance experience is required for this course, but be ready to move. Come dressed for movement. Full Lip Service: The Art of the Lipsync with Candida Valentina (2:15pm to 3:15pm)

Burlesque, Drag, it doesn't matter, baby! The flare, the drama, and the emoting can all be enhanced with a phenomenal lipsync performance. Candida Valentina is a draglesque performer and drag king, and they're here to teach you that lipsyncing is more than just moving your lips.

Easy Sexy Chair Moves with The Blacksparrow (3:30pm to 5:00pm

Acrobatics aren’t required for simple, and sexy, chair moves! Learn easy-to-follow choreography to bring out your body confidence and sex appeal, no dance or stage experience required! The BlackSparrow is a Seattle-based movement coach, choreographer, and burlesque performer. Wear comfortable clothes (that make you feel sexy!) and be ready to move.
