The Armour St Sessions Presents Session 6: Haley Johnsen

The Armour St Sessions are proud to present Session #6, featuring the incredibly talented Haley Johnsen. This intimate house venue will provide an excellent opportunity to experience one of Portland's favorite performers, who will receive all the proceeds from ticket sales. Please note that his show may be a living room or a backyard show, depending on the weather.

Haley Johnsen's genre-bending music mostly crosses between indie-pop and folk-rock. Haley's career was launched into high gear when she was a top-24 finalist in the 2012 season of American Idol. Her unique style invokes the soaring vocals and introspective lyricism of her early inspirations, such as Brandi Carlile and Annie Lennox.

Haley has toured nationally with Joseph, The Wind and the Wave, Sawyer Fredericks, and KT Tunstall and completed two European tours of her own. She has released three albums; her 2020 release, Golden Days, features the powerful voice of local Seattle favorite Allen Stone. Goner, the album released in 2022, written during the pandemic, was described by American Songwriter as an album that "cascades over loss and grief and mending one's soul in nostalgic drips of time, all carried by 80s-tipped synth-pop and brushes of reflective ballads." 

The Armour St Sessions is a house concert series created by Ryan Hodgson, former Founder and President of Team Up For Nonprofits. This organization produced music benefits to raise funds and awareness for deserving nonprofits. You are invited into his Queen Anne home to experience national touring artists in an intimate and unique environment. With limited capacity, you should book tickets* now before they sell out.
