Carmen Getsome Blocking Clinic - Hosted by Rat City Roller Derby

Level up your blocking and offense!

Join Rat City Roller Derby for a blocking clinic led by roller derby legend Carmen Getsome! Become more confident in your blocking and learn some new skills to take back to your team at this three-hour clinic! It'll be action packed with blocker focused derby drills.

Open to WFTDA insured skaters (18+). Full derby gear and skates required. You will need to sign a WFTDA visiting skater waiver upon arrival. This event is open to participating skaters only.

About the Coach:

Carmen Getsome was an athlete for Rat City Roller Derby and Team USA. She was a Roller Derby Team USA chartered athlete from 2014 to 2018, and she and the team won two World Cup gold medals in 2014 and 2018. She has captained the Rat City All Stars, and started the bank track league Team Legit in order to compete at Battle of the Bank. Carmen Getsome retired from Rat City in 2019 after 13 years of roller derby and is currently a coach for the Seattle Derby Brats' Galaxy Girls.
