This event has passed.

Inspired by the enthusiasm of workshop attendees and their continuing requests for “more demos, please!” we are delighted to continue the long-running "All The Demos" event.

Are you just beginning to explore the world of kink and not sure where to start? Perhaps you’re an experienced kinkster who would like to see a professional demonstration and learn alternative techniques. Maybe you have a new partner, and you'd like them to see a wide variety of play as they develop their enthusiasm for BDSM. Or perhaps you just love to volunteer for demos.

Whatever your interest, whatever your experience, Max’s monthly “All The Demos” event offers something for everyone, in a safe and welcoming space.

Workshop format

Doors open 30 minutes before the event so you can check in and get settled. You'll also be asked to read and sign an "Attendee Information and Agreement" which outlines the ground rules for the event.

You'll have an opportunity to cast three votes on the activity board to weigh in on which activities will be demoed. There's often some discussion about what the activities are, and some bargaining for votes among the attendees. This provides an easy opportunity to meet and mingle with the other attendees.

Max will generally seed the board with a handful of favorites. Got something you're especially curious about?  Go ahead and add it to the board. Past demos have included:

  • Rope Bondage
  • Electrical toys like violet wands, ErosTek units and stun guns
  • Needles / temporary piercing
  • Pressure points
  • Floggers
  • Singletail whips
  • Canes
  • D/S and service dynamics
  • Leather bondage like cuffs, hoods and sleepsacks
  • Metal bondage like cuffs and chains
  • Cages and "cage psychology"
  • Erotic hypnosis
  • Breath play
  • Zippers
  • Spanking
  • Pet Play

Once we gather in the dungeon, we'll start out with an overview of scene dynamics and a discussion about negotiation and consent, especially as it relates to the demos you'll see / participate in.

As the event progresses, you'll have the opportunity to volunteer for a demo with Max.

Each demo includes a negotiation, a mini-scene, a debrief, and time for everyone to ask questions. This is an amazing opportunity to witness a scene from start to finish, and to interact with the scene's participants in ways that would not be appropriate in a public dungeon or at a party.

You can be as participatory - or not participatory - as you wish. There's never any pressure to do anything.

Who should attend?

This workshop is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for tops and bottoms.

No prior knowledge is assumed for this class - it's perfectly appropriate for all experience levels. For many, it's an early opportunity to explore and observe kink or to show a friend what kink can be like.

You can bring a partner or a group of friends, or you can attend solo. It's an easy event to attend alone.

Afterwards

Attendees receive a handout with information about the event, an overview of scene structure, and some of the consent dynamics relevant to the event.

If you want a deeper experience or wish to pursue more specific training, Max also offers private coaching for individuals, couples and groups.

Covid protocols

We are navigating the current guidelines and our own sense of safety and reasonableness. The protocol for this event is based on our own research and risk assessment; we encourage you to do the same before you purchase your ticket.

We will have HEPA air purifiers running in the dungeon. These air purifiers have been shown to reduce Covid-19 transmission.

There is no vaccination requirement for this event. Max is vaccinated and boosted and recommends that you be vaccinated to reduce the severity of your illness if you get sick. Unvaccinated people 12 and older are 17 times as likely to die from Covid as vaccinated and boosted people.  Reference

Masks will not be required. You may, of course, wear a mask if you wish.

Please do not attend if you are exhibiting Covid symptoms or you are exposed to someone who has tested positive in the 14 days before the event.

Testing before attending events is a good way to protect each other. Max tests before each event. If you can, please test before you come to class.

Thank you for helping to keep us all safe.

About Max

Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has taught workshops and offered private coaching since 1999. He is nourished and guided by his strong roots in the kink, queer, leather and poly communities.

Max weaves his BDSM practice into his life because it's an especially effective way to build intimacy. The level of trust, communication, and active consent required for this practice creates beautiful, powerful experiences, and deep relationships.

Max has spent a lifetime building a range of skills, to include the intimacy of rope bondage, the intensity of the singletail, the connection of erotic hypnosis, and the power of authority-transfer (D/S) relationships.

Max is always the consummate professional - competent, attentive, passionate, respectful, and empathetic. He loves what he does and is grateful for opportunities to help others explore kink and find deeper connection.
