Jazz vocalist Kate Reid appears as a duo and with her trio and quartet at jazz venues in the Los Angeles and Miami areas. She can be heard performing with Miami pianists Martin Bejerano and Tal Cohen, guitarist John Hart and bassist Chuck Bergeron. She has worked with many of the great jazz musicians in southern California including guitarists Bruce Forman, Ron Eschete and Larry Koonse, trumpet player and composer John Daversa and his Progressive Big Band, drummers Roy McCurdy and Jamey Tate.  Kate’s most recent CD, The Heart Already Knows with music from the great American songbook and the contemporary idiom, was produced by Peter Eldridge and features pianists Fred Hersch and Taylor Eigsti and guitarists Larry Koonse, Romero Lubambo and Paul Meyers. Kate has also worked with other many noted artists including John Clayton, Robin Eubanks, Jon Hendricks, Grady Tate, Mercer Ellington, Don Shelton, Mark Murphy and the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

Kate joins two of Seattle’s best jazz instrumentalists, Bill Anschell (piano) and Jeff Johnson (bass) on September 30 for an evening of memorable standards along with some lesser known gems that perfectly merge melody, harmony and rhythm with fun musical communication and interplay from the trio!
