Botany and Biology talks are back at The Lab!
How does a tiny sugar-based molecule called DNA in all of your cells exert such a powerful
control over defining who we are? Come learn with a DNA scientist about what you, as an
owner of genes, should know about what they are and how they work.
Dr. Orlando de Lange brings decades of experience as a plant scientist, biotechnology teacher and science communicator to create accessible but reassuringly nerdy science content. This talk ties in with the launch of his new podcast - Modified, exploring the science and history of genetically modified crops.
These talks are fun and engaging, with doors opening 30 minutes prior to the event, and a planned intermission to give event attendees a chance to meet peers with common interests and discuss DNA together.
