Opal Peachey and The Habit Productions Present
Bootlegger's Ball
A Spirited Immersive Experience
Fri, Oct 16 at 8pm
A 1920s immersive cocktail experience inside Seattle's beautifully restored Odd Fellows Hall with theatre, spirits, and live music.
Seattle, 1924. Prohibition has turned the city upside down, and tonight a secret meeting will determine the future of Seattle's underground liquor trade.
Bootlegger’s Ball allows you to slip through the doors of a glamorous speakeasy where bootleggers, undercover agents, gamblers, smugglers, and socialites have gathered for one extraordinary evening. As alliances shift and rivalries simmer, you'll mingle with the notorious personalities who shaped Seattle's Prohibition era—and discover that some of them haunt us to this day.
Created by Opal Peachey (The Champagne Widow, Bohemia) and directed by Mark Siano of The Habit Productions (A Very Die Hard Christmas, Titanish) and inspired by the true stories chronicled in “Seattle Prohibition” by Bradley Holden, Bootleggers Ball blends Seattle's fascinating true-crime history with immersive theatre, handcrafted cocktails, live music, and social dancing. Throughout the evening, you'll encounter characters representing the neighborhoods that made Seattle's underground economy thrive—from the Central District and the International District to Queen Anne, Green Lake, and beyond. Their stories unfold through larger-than-life theatrical moments, unexpected encounters, and intimate moments inspired by the people who risked everything to keep the city drinking.
For those looking to venture deeper, the Bootlegger VIP Experience includes a flight of miniature cocktails served throughout the evening in imaginative ways by the performers themselves. Designed by award-winning bartender Sander Raav, each cocktail is crafted to complement the characters, stories, and hidden spaces you'll discover as you explore the historic 1908 ballroom.
Presented at Reverie Ballroom (formerly Century Ballroom), Seattle's home for social dance, the celebration continues after the performance. Saturday VIP tickets include admission to the Ballroom's Salsa Social Dance, allowing guests to keep dancing long after the final toast.
Ages 21+.
