Saturday Shenanigans Shitty Art Show Rides Again!
An immersive theatrical fundraiser.

Monsterhaüs Gallery returns to Gallery Erato for a night of terrible art and absolute wonder… 

You are cordially invited to attend and contribute to the grand re-opening of Shitty Art Show. In addition to being a magnificent event, the evening will serve as a fundraiser for Pan Eros Foundation. Dress in your *finest* cocktail attire, and plan to admire and discuss a "tastefully" curated collection of terrible art as part of the Immersive Improvisational Theatrics of the evening. 

Your help is needed to bring the gallery to life. Please plan to find or make shitty art to bring and display. The gallery is accepting submissions of terrible 2-D and 3-D visual art using physical mediums (no prints of digital art; AI generated art will not be included). We will also feature shitty performances, including dance, spoken word, dramatic readings, musical performance, or whatever else you can imagine. Please submit your application to perform here.

Most importantly, this is an event about appreciating and celebrating art and performance at all levels. You don’t have to make good art, you just have to make art. Skill is only a barrier to entry if it’s Too Good. Many pieces of art will be available for purchase, and you may find that your “shitty” art is someone’s new fave.

Does Shitty Art Show accept AI generated art?

No. We will only be accepting pieces made with physical mediums, not prints of digital art. In addition, you need to be able to prove that any art you submit is an original piece. Original in this context means the first authentic example of an artist’s work. In short, you have to be able to prove that a person created every piece of the art. This cannot be done with AI generated art.

Important notes

Gallery and performance submissions that are bad-spirited and bigoted (sexist, racist, homophobic, culturally appropriative, etc.) will be automatically rejected. Also, this should be fun - please be prepared to enjoy, appreciate, and ~*~ discuss~*~ this art, not demean it.  **This is an adult-themed gallery, so please expect to see erotic art and adult performances.**

• Many pieces of art will be available for purchase for a small public performance (or cash for the shy).
• Water and light snacks will be provided. Please feel free to contribute snacks as you wish.
• A quiet corner will be available for breaks and contemplation.
• No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please contact information@pan-eros.org for information on scholarships.
• All proceeds from the event will go to the Pan Eros Foundation.
• General Participation ticket: $20/Advance or $30/at Door.
• Gallery Contributor ticket: $5 and minimum one piece of art to hang in the gallery.
• $10 of the Participating Patron ticket is a direct donation to the Pan Eros Foundation's education and art programs.
