Jimi Hendrix & Eddie Van Halen have become rock legends, and maintained the allure of rock guitar, but the Royal Room looks at the new techniques and approaches that these guitarists brought to the table to unpack their lasting impact on the sound, role and mystique of their instrument.
The Royal Room is pleased to announce Boss Guitar, a companion series to the popular, ongoing Piano Starts Here. Beginning in February 2015, Seattle’s finest guitarists get together to interpret and explore the music of the greatest guitarists to play and compose for the instrument. Boss Guitar ranges widely, from country to fusion, from Jimi Hendrix to Chet Atkins, but all with the goal of celebrating the work of these legendary musicians and their chosen form of expression.
Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is all ages until 10pm.
