With many different social justice lenses to consider, how can we effectively cultivate safer spaces in our workshops, events, and online spaces? Join us to learn how to be a "politically correct" superhero, through fostering a positive feedback culture and environment for trust and growth in the spaces you create. We will also have an overview and facilitated discussion of key considerations regarding race, gender, sexuality and accessibility.
This workshop is for sex positive educators, facilitators, event coordinators, community organizers, moderators of online spaces, and anyone interested in cultivating safer spaces.
Limited to 40 attendees.
Cost at the door: $25.

About the educator:
Dani Weber is a diversity consultant, public speaker and genderqueer drag performer. She lives in San Francisco, working with companies such as Concrn (a compassionate response alternative to calling 911 for persons in crisis), and Wild SF Walking Tours (an artist-led historical walking tour company). For the latter, she coaches the founders in creating an engaged, diverse, safer environment for both employees and guests, while being an LGBT+ rights walking tour guide of the Castro District herself. She is originally from Melbourne, Australia, where she coordinated the founding hub of Sex Geekdom, whilst working in corporate diversity and business improvement. Armed with enthusiasm and a geekiness for all things social justice, she has a passion for creating opportunities to unlearn oppression and being open to change.
